Step 1 of 16 6% Welcome to Online Testing for: EAGLE Elder Abuse Guide for Law Enforcement Thank you for your willingness to participate! You will be presented with three scenarios that may involve various elements of elder abuse. After reading the scenarios, you will be asked to perform a series of brief tasks on the EAGLE module. Following the completion of the final scenario and tasks, you will be asked to take a short survey and also have the opportunity to answer additional questions, including offering your own feedback. This information is going to be incredibly valuable for our team as we further develop the tool for your use. Name of your department/division Years of law enforcement service Title/rank Approximate number of elder abuse cases throughout career Types of elder abuse observed (check all that apply) Financial Physical Sexual Neglect Emotional Death SCENARIO A Description: You are a patrol officer who has received a report from an individual indicating their elderly neighbor’s (Beth) son recently moved in with her as her caregiver. The neighbor is concerned because Beth has confided to her about her son’s past drug use and issues with addiction. Beth used to be out in the yard with her dog every day, but hasn’t been seen outside at all for a week. The son has been having a lot of friends coming and going at all hours of the day and night, and Beth’s neighbor has suspicions that there is drug activity taking place and is worried for Beth’s well-being. For this section of the survey, you will be asked to complete two tasks: Task #1 - Before arriving on scene, use the site to familiarize yourself with a potential Elder Abuse situation. Visit as many pages as necessary until you feel comfortable with your knowledge level before you go to the door. Task #2 - Find the page (or pages) that you believe may be the most helpful for your visit. The EAGLE prototype site will open in a new browser tab located at the top of the screen. Once you have completed the two tasks, you can return to the next step of the test by clicking on the original browser tab. Please leave the prototype window open so you can refer back to explore it as you answer the survey questions.
